Extending Microsoft’s audience reach as part of a global event series

01. Background

Nteractive has supported the delivery of Microsoft Ignite in the UK for several seasons. With a return to in-person events in 2022, we had an opportunity to rethink the event as a digital-first experience run simultaneously alongside intimately curated in-person events.


This digital-first experience was a unique approach requiring our team to fully re-imagine the Microsoft Ignite UK event. Balancing a strategic and creative lens in equal measure, an unconventional and innovative event was created in just 10 weeks from venue search to doors open.

We developed a fresh vision that incorporated the radical spirit of Manchester. As the UK’s second largest tech hub, this allowed the event to reach new and underserved audiences while boosting brand love within the tech communities in Northwest UK and across the country digitally under an umbrella of innovation and dynamic change.

  • 48 hours: Time it took to sell out in-person registration

  • 25 featured partners fully integrated into event content

  • 570 in-person attendees

  • 35,000 registered online attendees as part of the digital experience
