Creating a vibrant and engaging Community Lounge.
nCino’s annual conference, nSight, is multifaceted: to educate users through the sharing of knowledge, best practices and thought leadership, to drive revenue and foster growth in alignment with their company-wide sales and marketing strategy, and to cultivate excitement, loyalty, and confidence within the entire nCino ecosystem of customers and partners. 2024 celebrated the 12th year of nSight at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
01. Background
nCino wanted to elevate the Community Lounge (aka Expo Floor) of their annual nSight event that more seamlessly integrated this element into the overall attendee journey and provided more ways for the audience to engage through strategically placed experiences that compelled attendees to network, learn best practices and explore latest industry trends and innovations from both first-party products and their partner ecosystem.
02. Challenge
In 2023 nCino nSight had moved to a new venue that provided more space than previous years which presented a few challenges: creating a space that did not feel cavernous and uninviting, integrating sponsors in a meaningful way, utilizing F&B more creatively and building experiences that would encourage attendees to view the Community Lounge as the hub of the entire event.
03. Solution
Working closely with the nCino event team, we began with a complete redesign of the floorplan with a village approach that provided an intimacy to the space to increase engagement and vibrancy. Enhanced wayfinding provided clear pathways to areas that engaged attendees in different ways with product area surrounded by adjacent partner ecosystem solutions. Product pods for smaller demonstrations, Lounge Live area for larger-size presentations and networking areas that allowed for both fun and games were strategically placed throughout. Thoughtful planning of F&B and event activities drew attendees into the Community Lounge and kept them engaged.
04. Impact
Survey results showed an overwhelmingly positive response to the changes that had been made:
98% found nSight to be a valuable use of their time
90% respondents had valuable interaction with sponsors
90% of sponsors achieved their goals
75% of sponsor respondents rated experience 4 out of 4
